Meet Stewart Ryan

Stew Ryan is a nationally and internationally known advocate for survivors of abuse. For well over a decade, he has been dedicated to litigating cases on behalf of survivors of crime, particularly children and adults who were physically and sexually abused, first as a prosecutor and now in civil litigation. Prior to joining Laffey Bucci D’Andrea Reich and Ryan, Stew was entrusted with prosecuting a number of high-profile prosecutions, including the case against accused serial predator Bill Cosby that resulted in his conviction.

Since then, he has brought his tenacity and tireless advocacy to bear on institutional defendants recovering more than $100,000,000 in settlements and verdicts on behalf of clients who have been abused. His success is not limited to the courtroom. Stew is regularly relied upon as a subject matter expert by local, national, and international media, teaches the next generation of lawyers on the subject of Crime Survivors’ Rights at Villanova University’s Charles Widger School of Law, and is the author of the Pennsylvania Crime Survivor’s Handbook.
