Meet Richard J. Albuquerque

Richard received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of New Hampshire in 1993 and earned a Juris Doctorate from Widener University School of Law in 1996. After working as the judicial law clerk to the Honorable Eugene D. Serpentelli, A.J.S.C., retired, for the 1996-1997 term, he joined the Atlantic City firm of Levine Staller Sklar Chan Brodsky & Donnelly, PA, where he remained until 2005.

In January 2006, Richard joined the Law Office of Christopher M. Day, LLC as a partner and continued to focus his practice in the areas of personal injury and workers’ compensation. In 2008, the firm of D’Arcy Johnson Day was created where he is a shareholder. Richard is certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney, a distinction held by less than 2% of New Jersey attorneys. He is also a board-certified civil advocate, meeting the rigorous objective quality standards set forth by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Richard has been named a “Super Lawyer” by New Jersey Monthly Magazine.

Richard has lectured to New Jersey attorneys in the areas of automobile insurance coverage and ethics for the National Business Institute, the New Jersey Association of Trial Lawyers, and the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education. He is a Superior Court of New Jersey Arbitration panelist in Atlantic and Cape May Counties and is admitted to practice in the States of New Jersey and Pennsylvania, as well as the United States District Courts of New Jersey, and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Richard has been elected to the Executive Committee of the New Jersey Association for Justice Board and is also a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates. Richard is also a member of the New Jersey Bar Association and the American Association for Justice. He served on the District I Ethics Committee, where he served as Chairman of the Committee in 2010.
