Amanda Davis has been practicing law since 2003 and joined Calwell Luce diTrapano PLLC in late 2021. She has masterfully handled complex state and federal jury trials in medical malpractice, insurance bad faith, and large truck accident cases. Amanda is also seasoned at resolving automobile and premises liability disputes through mediation or settlement negotiations.
Her current practice focuses on medical malpractice claims, prison abuse injuries, excessive force cases, products liability and defective product claims, premises liability, automobile negligence and large truck accidents, wrongful death claims, and other serious injury cases.
Amanda earned her Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio, with a Certificate of Concentration in Juvenile and Family Law. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and an Associate Degree in Business Management from West Virginia State College (now West Virginia State University). During her undergraduate education, Amanda worked as a clerk in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of West Virginia. During law school, she worked for a law firm specializing in Social Security litigation. While working as an attorney, she successfully completed a week-long trial advocacy program by the National Institute for Trial Advocacy, which trains participants to master opening statements, direct and cross-examinations, and closing arguments, among other essential courtroom skills for trial attorneys.
A native of Hamlin (Lincoln County), West Virginia, Amanda resides in Milton with her husband, Jim McQueen, their children, Max and Maggie, and their golden retriever, Theodore Roosevelt. Amanda enjoys mountain biking with her children in the beautiful mountains of West Virginia.
