We are currently defending multiple nine- and eight-figure verdicts nationwide, including a $360 million verdict for survivors of sexual abuse at a psychiatric hospital in Virginia.
Gupta Wessler works closely with the American Association for Justice and state trial lawyer associations to defend the civil justice system itself. We serve as AAJ’s outside counsel in the Supreme Court and recently helped defeat an Uber-backed ballot initiative that sought to impose a sweeping 20% cap on contingency fees in Nevada.
Gupta Wessler is one of the most active and successful plaintiff-side advocates before the U.S. Supreme Court. Over the past five terms, our lawyers presented seven Supreme Court arguments—more than all but four law firms nationwide—and our win rate exceeded every firm in that group. Every Gupta Wessler partner has argued before the Court, and our attorneys collectively have argued more than thirty Supreme Court cases. The firm also runs the Harvard Supreme Court Litigation Clinic.
