About Whitney Power

Whitney Power Wilson, a lifelong Alaskan, is dedicated to helping injured Alaskans navigate the complexities of our legal system in order to obtain full compensation for their losses. She is an experienced and fierce advocate for her clients and never backs down to insurance adjusters or the “good ole boys” in the defense bar.

Whitney brings modern technology into negotiations and courtrooms so that insurance adjusters, defense counsel, and jurors understand why the injured deserve compensation.  She focuses her practice on cases involving wrongful death, airplane crashes, sexual abuse of children, sexual assault, medical malpractice, and motor vehicle crashes, including car crashes, motorcycle accidents, and trucking accidents.  Her skills, experience, and dedication have enabled her to obtain millions of dollars in verdicts and settlements for her clients.

Whitney has been named a Top 10 Personal Injury Attorney in Alaska by the National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys and has received AVVO’s Top Attorney rating of 10.0 out of 10.0.

Whitney is a graduate of the University of Idaho, and its Honors Program, earning a double major in Economics and Political Science. She obtained her law degree from the University of Idaho and her Civil Mediation certificate from the Northwest Institute of Dispute Resolution in 2009 before attending the Straus Institute of Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine’s Caruso School of Law and earning her LL.M. More recently, in 2021, Whitney obtained a certificate from Harvard Law School’s Program on Negotiation in Mediation and Conflict Management.

An avid outdoors person, Whitney enjoys hunting, fishing, snowboarding and flying. She is a licensed private pilot and a Cessna 150 owner. She also practices yoga and lovingly owns a 1979 VW Type II Bus.

She is a Member of the Board of Governors to the American Association for Justice, a national organization, and was a past Board Member of the Alaska Association for Justice, currently serving as that organization’s Vice President. She is also a member of the Alaska Airmen’s Association and in the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA).

Whitney is licensed to practice law in Alaska, Washington and Oregon.
