The National Board of Trial Advocacy

About The National Board of Trial Advocacy

The National Board of Trial Advocacy is the only American Bar Association accredited attorney board certifying agency providing specialty certification for trial lawyers. A nonprofit organization founded in 1977 to assist the public in identifying experienced and well qualified trial lawyers, the NBTA offers board certification in Civil Trial Advocacy, Criminal Trial Advocacy and Family Trial Advocacy. To qualify for one of these certifications lawyers must have extensive experience in their specialty and meet rigorous objective quality standards including testing. NBTA's parent organization, the National Board of Legal Specialty Certification, also offers board certifications in Social Security Disability Advocacy and Civil Pretrial Practice.
