SUMMARY:IB Day of Action 2026: The Comfort & Care Initiative
DESCRIPTION:We’re proud to introduce this year’s IB Day of Action: The Comfort & Care Initiative—a nationwide effort dedicated to supporting children entering the foster care system. \nWhile summer is often a time of joy and freedom\, for many foster children it marks a period of uncertainty and transition. Across the U.S.\, more than 390\,000 children are in foster care\, and many arrive in new homes with little to no personal belongings. This year\, Injury Board members are coming together to change that—bringing comfort\, dignity\, and a sense of belonging to kids who need it most. \nThrough this initiative\, member firms will partner with local foster organizations to create and distribute Comfort Kits—thoughtfully assembled bags filled with everyday essentials and personal items. From pajamas and toiletries to books\, blankets\, and handwritten notes\, each kit is designed to remind a child that they are seen\, supported\, and not alone. \nFirms are encouraged to engage their teams\, clients\, and communities by hosting supply drives\, organizing packing events\, and volunteering their time. Whether building kits\, raising awareness\, or partnering with local organizations\, every action contributes to a larger\, unified impact across the country. \nIB Day of Action is about turning intention into action—making it easy for firms to give back in a meaningful\, coordinated way. Together\, we’re creating safer\, stronger communities while delivering hope to children during one of the most vulnerable moments in their lives. \nJoin us on June 25\, 2026\, and help make a lasting difference—one Comfort Kit at a time.
