IB Firms Join Together To Help During 2015 #IBDayofAction

DOA_15_FB_profileWith less than two months to go before the 2nd Annual IB Day of Action (#IBDayofAction), we are excited to announce that the number of IB firms participating in this year’s event is nearing 50!

On Thursday, September 17, we will host the 2nd Annual IB Day of Action, a collaborative effort between our member firms, Ronald McDonald House Charities Network of Local Chapters and Children’s Hospitals from across the U.S. The goal is to show support and assist families with sick and injured children by volunteering time, as well as providing donations — all on the same day as part of one collaborative nationwide effort.

Here’s what some members are doing for their Day of Action:

Atlanta-based member firm Childers, Schlueter & Smith, LLC will be preparing breakfast for the families and children at the RMHC Atlanta. The firm is also hosting a fundraiser through the Houses’ Friends Asking Friends program to provide a financial donation to the House as well.

Corporate member Garretson Resolution Group plans to split the firm’s efforts and help four different Ronald McDonald Houses — RMHC Cincinnati, RMHC Chattanooga, RMHC Charlotte and RMHC New Orleans. They plan to participate in an on-site activity, as well as provide care package donations to each House.

Members from Atlee Hall, LLP will be participating in two onsite volunteer activities. On September 2, the firm will be baking cookies in the afternoon and that evening, they plan on hosting a dinner for the families and children at the RMHC of Central Pennsylvania in Hershey, PA.

On Sunday, September 20, Wooten Kimbrough, P.A. will be volunteering during the 6th Annual Ride-4-Ronald event, a bike ride benefiting the 1,700 families who stay at one of the two Ronald McDonald Houses in Orlando each year.

D’Amore Law Group will be volunteering at the RMHC in Portland to prepare a meal for the families and children. The firm is also hosting a fundraiser to collect needed items from other law firms and local organizations that will be donated to the House.

Corporate member firm Advocate Capital, Inc. is preparing a meal for the families and children at the RMHC Nashville. The firm is also making a financial donation to the national RMHC on behalf of their clients.

With more than 40 firms representing 40 major cities across the U.S. participating in the #IBDayofAction, this year’s event is turning out to be a fantastic success.
