IB Firm Helps to Spread the Message of Good Health Through Running

Atlee HallPennsylvania-based IB member firm Atlee Hall, LLP recently worked to help support young girls and spread the message that running is good for a girl’s health and self-esteem.

Atlee Hall, along with other local businesses, joined together to help sponsored and volunteer at the Girls on the Run 2014 Fall 5k Run, a non-competitive community-wide run/walk celebrating the strength and spirit of girls in the community.

The annual event, held at Millersville University in Lancaster, Penn., had more than 1,200 girls, buddies, coaches, friends and family participate in the run/walk.

During the event, the firm hosted a booth and passed out safety information and treats to the participants for before and after the race.  A total of five firm members volunteered during the event, plus three family members.

The firm has been sponsoring and volunteering the Girls on the Run 5k for several years and plan to continue to help support the cause.

“At Atlee Hall, we are dedicated to helping promote a safe community,” said Jaime Jackson.  “We strive to do that by upholding safety standards in our community, and holding responsible those who violate safety rules, but, another important way we seek to promote our community is helping others.”

Girls on the Run, established in 1996 in Charlotte, N.C., is a 501(c)(3) organization that provides pre-adolescent girls with the necessary tools to embrace their individual strengths and successfully navigate life experiences. With the help of more than 55,000 volunteers, the Girls on the Run program is now serving more than 130,000 girls in 200+ cities across North America each year.

“One of the best organizations at helping is: Girls on the Run,” said Jackson. “We believe physical activity is important, and we share their mission of inspiring their girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using fun.”
