IB Members Step Up Big for Charity

Last month, IB member Rob Roe reached out to fellow IB members, asking for help with a charity auction for Spare Key, an organization that focuses on helping parents remain a part of their seriously ill or critically injured child’s care team in the hospital. Just weeks later, Roe, who serves as the nonprofit’s president, reports that his colleagues have gone above and beyond to help make it a success.

Several IB members stepped up and donated items for the auction during Spare Key’s annual gala fundraiser.

The donated items from IB members Jessie and Tor Hoerman of TorHoerman Law, LLC, John Bair of Milestone Consulting, LLC and Noble McIntyre of McIntyre Law, P.C. raised close to $10,000 for the nonprofit. These efforts helped Spare Key raise over $250,000 at the gala, a record amount.

A member of Spare Key since 2008 and board of directors president since January 2012, Roe, of St. Paul, Minn., has dedicated himself to becoming actively involved in the nonprofit, which provides housing grant assistance to families in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin, allowing them to focus on their child’s recovery.

“I can’t thank Jessie and Tor Hoerman, John Bair and Noble McIntyre enough,” said Roe. “The power and generosity of [The Injury Board] is incredible.”
