Making a Difference in Everyday Lives

Injury Board member J. Robert Davis and volunteers celebrate the acquisition of a new facility for the Adaptive Sports Center, a group that improves the quality of life for people with disabilities through outdoor adventure activities. Davis is a board member for the organization.

The building, located in Crested Butte, Colorado, will serve as the organization’s new hub for summer programming, intern housing and equipment and vehicle storage. It was purchased with generous donations from supporters of the ASC’s Belleview Building Campaign.

Starting this summer, the facility will undergo renovations and structural improvements to make it fully wheelchair accessible.

The ASC will wrap up construction and open for business with a grand opening in the fall.

ASC programs are inclusive to families and friends, empower their participants in their daily lives and have an enduring impact on their health, self-confidence and well-being.
