A Little Bit of Help Goes a Long Way

Even with nine children – four of whom they adopted from China and each with varying medical issues – Injury Board Member Ben Glass and his wife, Sandi, make the time to give back.

The Glasses are heavily involved with Love Without Boundaries (LWB), an organization that provides medical care, healing homes, foster care and nutrition to China’s orphans. One of the group’s main goals is to find foster care for these children while waiting to find their “forever” homes.

In fact, Sandi Glass has worked with LWB in China to help open a healing home – a place where a child can go for preoperative care, love and nutrition so that they have a better chance to do well for surgery. Many of the children have cleft lips and palettes. After surgery, they go back to the healing home to recuperate.

What’s more, Ben Glass is on the board of directors for LWB and he also raises money by running in the Marine Corps Marathon every year.

LWB was founded by Amy Eldridge in 2003 after a group of adoptive parents came together to help save the life of one tiny boy in China. Please visit LWB online and read more about this great charity and all that they do.
