Illinois Tour de Farms Bike MS Ride

Jamie G. Goldstein and Gary McCallister of Gary D. McCallister & Associates, LLC, accompanied by Thomas Molinari (not an attorney or firm member) participated in the 2010 MS Tour de Farms 2 day bike ride in Illinois. Their team name was MS Cure.

They held a fundraising event at Webster Wine Bar in Chicago on June 7, 2010 which included a raffle and wine tasting.  Over $2600 was raised between the fundraiser and donations from people who were unable to attend.

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic, unpredictable disease of the central nervous system (the brain, optic nerves, and spinal cord). According to the National MS Society, approximately 400,000 Americans have MS, and every week about 200 people are diagnosed. World-wide, MS affects about 2.5 million people.

These numbers can only be estimated as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) does not require physicians to report new cases.

Team MS Cure is planning to ride again next year. Only this time they hope for a larger team and to raise even more money for this worthy cause!
